Apple and Blueberry Pie Recipe
Who doesn’t love a delicious apple pie? This one is easy and no need to worry about what apples to get – we’ll use whatever we can get our hands on!
You’ll need enough pastry to line your baking tin and to top it – so I’m estimating about 500g premade.
SERVES 4 / 6
- Custard or Cream!
What you need:
- Oven pre-heated 200cFAN
- Mixing bowl
- Rolling Pin
- Baking tin
- 2 packs ready rolled shortcrust pastry (or 500g block)
- 12 apples, cut into wedges, unpeeled – any type of apple is fine and a little lemon juice will stop them turning brown once cut.
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp plain flour (or cornflour)
- OPTIONAL – handful blueberries or blackberries (I use frozen for convenience)
