What a great day! A whole day of cars, music and food at Carfest North!
I was up there as part of the Simply Good Food TV team performing a cooking demo to the crowd with one of my recipes from my new cook book (join TheoCooks to be notified when it is available to buy).
It was a great day and the Simply Good Food TV team did a great job of organising everything – cheers Rob, Vhari and Pete!
As did the team at Carfest who albeit were behind the scenes in the food demo area were absolutely brilliant – working tirelessly to enable all us chefs to get on stage and do our demonstrations.
I was on stage with the talented Jon Fell whom cooked a delicious confit trout with scallops and a butter and coral sauce.
I cooked a recipe from my new microwave cookbook – stuffed chicken breast wrapped in pancetta on a bed of tomato and cumin chick peas (done in 6 minutes flat thank you very much!)
It was a great day and awesome to meet Tom Kerridge again and also Andrew who’s compered at a couple of events I’ve been to and is always brilliant to work with.
Not to mention finally meeting Sabrina Zeif from Kitchen Thyme.
