I was invited by La Belle Assiette to host a ‘validation dinner’, in their words, they ‘invite 8 guests to take part as the jury…and evaluate the menu prepared by the chef‘. So I get to let my cooking juices run wild and then remain in a state of panic until the jury give their verdict. Whatever it is, I plead not guilty your ‘onor! See what they had to say..
I won’t bang on about it, needless to say I was a bit nervous.. This is the intro by La Belle Assiette followed by the jury’s verdict!
“Chef Theo Michaels presented the guests with a wonderful and creative menu. From start to finish all the plates were left clean with the guests wanting more. The starter was light and fresh and presented beautifully. The flavours of the starter complimented each other well; salty pork, delicate scallop, sweet molasses, spicy cress and zesty apple. Every course that Theo presented looked artistic, looking almost too good eat! It is clear that Theo is an accomplished chef but he is also a charming man who made all the guests feel very comfortable. Therefore Theo is ‘validated by the jury”!
