Guest Chef at the Paresa Resort in Phuket, Thailand.
I wave goodbye to Bangkok and the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit after my first celebrity guest chef appearance and fly into Phuket which only takes about an hour to fly.
Check out the links above for traveling in Bangkok and more about my first guest chef appearance.
I’m staying at the Paresa Resort in the Kamala Hills area of Phuket and looked after by the exceptionally hospitable GM Dawid Koegelenberg and their Executive Chef and F&B Director Jordi Valles Clavero.
The video below takes you on a quick tour of the beautiful room I had at the Paresa resort… it is nice…
The event was a Greek vs Spanish evening (all in good faith!) for a very exclusive group of guests and VIPs in Phuket.
This event was hosted in the gorgeous dining room in the video above. The main event was was a brilliant evening hosted in a beautiful long rectangular room with a full length glass windows looking out to the ocean, one long dining table in the centre adjacent to an equally long cooking station for myself and their executive chef Jordi to cook in front of everyone. The wine was paired by their GM and wine expert Dawid and once again we have a fabulous evening.
The second event was a much smaller intimate affair where I cooked dinner for a party of 12 distinguished guests, best described as very warm, good humoured and kind oligarchs. This was held in a private cliff edge villa that was not only a pleasure to cook in but join in the evening with the guests.
Whilst staying at the Paresa Jordi and myself had some fun on the radio with Phuket’s most famous DJ Jason on 89.5fm Phuket Live – just look at these three handsome chaps!
Both nights were great and wouldn’t have happened without Dawid whom seamlessly pulled the whole event together and made it a really special evening with his touch of magic.
I also owe Jordi and his team a big thank you, Jordi was incredible to work with and a real genius in the kitchen – thank you Jordi.
Whilst I wasn’t working I had the pleasure of exploring Phuket which you can read about here. I also had the pleasure of enjoying my stay at Paresa both their wonderful food and resort.. Here are some pictures to whet your appetite!
