Angello Peppers Recipe

Angello Peppers Recipe

Roasted Angello peppers are a great alternative to the famous Padron peppers tapas dish.

Angello peppers tend to be sweeter than padron peppers but still taste great!

Grilled or roasted Angello peppers are perfect to serve as a snack or part of a tapas and incredibly quick and easy to make.

You can cook these sweet little critters in various ways; ideally grilled on the BBQ but frying or roasting also works. I’ve gone down the roasting option for this recipe purely for convenience.

Angello Peppers Recipe – Ingredients:

Angello red peppers or Padron peppers – as many as you can fit on a roasting tray without crowding

1/2 tablespoon sea salt

Glug of extra virgin olive oil

Ground pepper – a few turns

Method:

Pre-heat oven to 220c

  1. Scatter peppers on roasting tray
  2. Drizzle with olive oil and a scattering of salt
  3. Roast peppers for 10 mins (check after 8 minutes) you want them just charred.

Serve and enjoy!

Goes well with a dozen other little dishes (or mezedes) and the smell of Sangria about to be served..
